2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about maintaining world-class golf course conditions while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the Golf Course Superintendent/Director of Agronomy in the overall management of the course’s maintenance program, including course conditioning, irrigation management, fertilization, pest control, and budgeting.
Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality work.
Maintain excellent communication with club leadership, staff, and members regarding course conditions and upcoming projects.
Manage daily course setup and maintenance tasks to ensure the best possible playing conditions.
Oversee and help with the operation and maintenance of the course’s irrigation systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
Assist with long-term planning and implementation of agronomic strategies to enhance the overall health of the turf and landscape.
Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
Assist with budgeting and cost control for materials, supplies, and labor.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in golf course maintenance.
Basic knowledge of turfgrass management, irrigation systems, and pest control.
Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
A passion for golf and commitment to maintaining exceptional course conditions.
