The Senior Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for the strategic management, renewal execution, and retention of a mature book of commercial insurance accounts. This individual serves as the senior client-facing advisor and works closely with internal account support staff and leadership to deliver high-quality service and long-term client value. Key Responsibilities
Own renewal strategy, timeline, and execution for assigned commercial accounts Lead carrier negotiations and coverage strategy discussions Serve as primary senior contact for clients on coverage design, claims coordination, and policy structure Manage and oversee servicing activities including endorsements, audits, certificates, binders, and policy reviews Review and approve proposals, invoices, and policy documentation for accuracy and completeness Partner with internal account representatives and leadership to ensure service excellence Maintain strong carrier relationships and participate in carrier strategy discussions as needed Identify and recommend organic growth opportunities within existing accounts Participate in client meetings and limited regional travel for relationship management Book & Client Profile
Relationship-driven accounts with long-term clients Emphasis on retention, advisory service, and account expansion rather than pure new business Qualifications & Experience
5–7 years of commercial insurance experience required Strong expertise in commercial lines account management and renewals Professional designations (CPCU, ARM, CIC) strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to advise sophisticated commercial clients Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Hands-on, accountable approach to client service Success Metrics
Renewal retention and client satisfaction Timely and accurate renewal execution Quality of coverage recommendations and client advisory support Identification of organic growth opportunities
