The Darling Effect is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Staff Graphic Designer to support our growing creative team. This role is ideal for a designer with a few years of professional, post-college experience who is excited to continue developing their skills while contributing to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with and reporting to the Sr. Graphic Designer, this role will help execute designs across product, packaging, and marketing while learning best practices for production, brand consistency, and creative workflows. We’re a small, close-knit team with a big passion for what we do—flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn go a long way here. WHAT YOU\'LL DO AS A STAFF GRAPHIC DESIGNER
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting multiple steps of the creative process. The Staff Graphic Designer will assist with design development, production-ready files, and day-to-day creative needs while gaining exposure to concepting, vendor communication, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities
Support layout and execution of seasonal product catalogs Assist in developing packaging components such as hang tags, wraps, boxes, and cards Support product research by gathering visual inspiration and trend references Execute product design updates and assist with preparing design files for production Create Photoshop mockups and assist with photo editing as needed Ensure brand consistency across assigned projects and deliverables Assist in creating instruction guides and setup files for suppliers Support creation of visual assets for email marketing campaigns Assist with creative campaigns and designs for social media posts Design simple web banners and assist with web page layouts as needed Contribute to team efforts by completing other related tasks as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field (Required) 1-3 years of experience in graphic design post-graduation (Required) Skills & Abilities Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) Demonstrated strong understanding of typography, layout design, color theory, and design fundamentals Knowledge of proper print file setups for suppliers Illustration, print, and pattern design skills are a bonus Product photography and flat lay photography skills are a bonus Excellent attention to detail and ability to integrate new concepts and ideas Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under direction Enthusiastic, flexible, and collaborative mindset Self-motivated and innovative in an entrepreneurial environment PHYSICAL DEMANDS
