Job Purpose The Senior Insurance Account Manager will lead the customer experience for the agency’s book of business and collaborate with the Agency Sales Director to develop strategies for retaining/renewing existing clients and growing the agency’s book of business.
General Summary The Senior Insurance Account Manager is responsible for retaining and expanding client relationships within our agency, delivering the expected client experience standards to achieve the company’s growth goals. This role serves as the lead consultant and primary point of contact for clients. The individual will communicate, facilitate, and execute risk solutions on behalf of our clients and assist with marketing of our insurance products including cross-selling, up-selling, and helping close new business opportunities. The Senior Insurance Account Manager must develop and maintain relationships with clients, insurance partners, and Openforce teams. This position reports to the Agency Sales Director of ICM Insurance Services.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow accounts through communication, service, and cross-selling.
Assist the Agency Sales Director with new policy procurement and client meetings.
Handle policy submissions, negotiations, payments, and binding for new and renewal risks.
Oversee policy changes, adjustments, and cancellations.
Conduct client meetings for renewals, accounts, and loss reviews.
Promote loss prevention through risk management discussions and action plans.
Maintain follow-up systems to ensure policy compliance.
Manage invoicing and collections for agency-billed policies.
Foster relationships with carriers, Openforce teams, clients, and brokers.
Keep clients updated on industry trends, regulations, and coverage details.
Stay informed on industry standards, products, policies, and carrier changes.
Use company software to document work and follow department policies.
Support process improvements and assist teammates as needed.

Education, Experience And Other Requirements
Associate degree preferred, or directly related insurance industry experience
Minimum of 3 years of related agency, brokerage, or insurance company experience.
Related experience in the transportation, gig, SaaS, or Insuretech industry may be considered in lieu of direct insurance experience
Preference will be given for knowledge of gig, SaaS, and/or transportation insurance products is strongly preferred
Possess current/active or be able to obtain Accident & Health and Property & Casualty Licenses in state of residence within 90 days of employment
Ability to obtain non-resident licenses in other states, if needed
Experience with Applied Epic is a plus
Candidates should have basic computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
