Day Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $55,600.00 - $83,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Customer Relationship Manager II

plays a critical role in supporting clients of the Automotive Marketing Platform (AMP) by championing customer needs and driving measurable marketing performance. This role is ideal for a marketing focused professional with hands-on experience in email, texting/SMS, and direct mail campaigns, and brings added value to candidates with automotive dealership or dealership group experience. You will act as the primary day-to-day liaison for assigned clients, offering strategic consultation on multi-channel marketing execution and optimization. Channels include—but are not limited to—Email, Text/SMS, Direct Mail, Social, SEO, Creative, and Digital Advertising. This role collaborates closely with internal cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive strategy, high client satisfaction, and strong product utilization. What You’ll Do

Serve as the proactive, strategic point of contact for clients using the AMP Marketing Technology Platform, with heavy emphasis on email, texting, and direct mail performance.

Develop and strengthen client relationships by delivering exceptional service, problem resolution, and consistent communication.

Collaborate seamlessly with Product, Implementation, Performance Management, and other internal partners to align client goals and operational needs.

Maintain regular cadence of client engagement to promote product adoption, improve marketing outcomes, and reduce churn risk.

Conduct consultative reviews for dealership and dealer group leadership, including: Campaign strategy recommendations

Creative and template assessments

Customer segmentation strategy

Process tree evaluations

Ad hoc email/SMS marketing opportunities

Call script and follow-up process review

Utilize CRM and marketing analytics to deeply analyze email/SMS performance metrics such as: Send volume, open, and click rates

Customer engagement and task creation

Lead follow-up behaviors

Vehicle sales attribution tied to marketing

Provide marketing insight, coaching, and trend analysis to internal partners and Managed Services teammates, supporting growth in email, texting, and direct mail best practices.

Demonstrate confidence, professionalism, and consultative skills with VIP accounts, new feature rollouts, pilot programs, and complex client scenarios.

Who You Are

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and 2 years of account ownership or management experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master’s degree and up to 2 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience; or 6 years’ experience in a related field.

Effective communication skills; written, verbal and presentation

Exceptional client relationship, account management, experience

Knowledge of Digital Marketing campaigns, customer segmentation and marketing best practices

Strong background in digital marketing, including email, text, and direct mail campaigns

Strong organizational skills

Proactive thinker with ability to absorb high amounts of detail

Demonstrated leadership skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Mental acuity (detail oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, strong prioritization) to execute duties of the position successfully to meet business and client needs

Working knowledge of MS office tools

Preferred: Experience working with or inside automotive dealerships (sales or fixed ops), especially in marketing or CRM capacity

Preference will be given to candidates on the Cox Automotive (CAI) Managed Services team.
