Job Description Job Overview O’Brien Tax Service seeking a full-time, in-office Tax Preparer to join our Framingham location. We are looking for a detail-oriented and professional individual who can manage a wide range of tax situations while delivering excellent client service. Our business is mostly seasonal work but if this is a good fit, this position could potentially be year-round employment. Description: Responsible for preparing and reviewing various business and individual tax returns (1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) and ensuring accuracy and compliance. Requirements: 2+ years tax preparation experience required Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Knowledge of IRS and Massachusetts Department of Revenue tax code Ability to prepare individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns Ability to advise clients on diverse tax matters Must work on-site in Framingham (no remote option) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation (preferred) Knowledge of corporate and foreign tax returns and regulation Responsibilities: Client appointments in office and over the phone Follow up with clients regarding missing or additional documentation Prepare accurate and compliant federal and state tax returns Maintain organized and secure client files Provide general tax guidance throughout the filing process Skills & Abilities: Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Strong email communication and phone etiquette Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability Familiarity with office management systems and procedures Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, scanner, etc.) Basic mathematical skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a small team How to Apply: Please submit via ZipRecruiter or email your résumé and a brief cover letter to natickoffice@obrientax.com
