The

Clinical Program Supervisor / Senior Therapist

is a licensed clinician

(LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD)

who provides both clinical and operational leadership for an adolescent residential treatment home.

Reporting to the Clinical Director, this role maintains a small caseload (2–3 clients), facilitates clinical groups, provides direct clinical supervision to associate therapists, and ensures the delivery of high-quality therapeutic services to adolescents and families.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, this role oversees daily house operations to ensure the program remains safe, structured, compliant, and admit-ready. In collaboration with clinical leadership and care coordination partners, the supervisor supports staffing, onboarding, scheduling, and training while fostering a collaborative, trauma-informed environment that supports both client recovery and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

House Operations & Program Flow Lead daily operations of a 6-bed residential program, maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transitions to ensure continuity of care Serve as the escalation point for client, family, or operational concerns Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and internal standards

Direct Clinical Services Carry a caseload of 2–3 clients, providing weekly individual and family therapy Facilitate weekly clinical groups and provide coverage as needed Supervise associate therapists and oversee the quality of clinical services Complete all required clinical documentation and administrative responsibilities Participate in utilization review processes, including peer reviews to support authorizations and length of stay

Qualifications Master’s or Doctorate degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field Active California license required (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD) Eligible to provide clinical supervision to associate therapists Minimum of 3 years of experience in adolescent residential or acute behavioral health settings Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, milieu management, co-occurring disorders, treatment planning, and care coordination Experience with program operations, staffing, scheduling, and compliance Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
