Overview
The Horizon Group is searching for a Credit Analyst, with a focus on Real Estate, for one of our international banking clients located in Manhattan, NY.
Responsibilities
Prepare credit applications and handle customer requests in accordance with CnR (Credit.net Rules) and internal approvals.
Processing commercial Real Estate Finance transactions with US / Canada and international investors and developers. This comprises the entire underwriting process and assessment of credit-worthiness of the borrower entity.
Review of structural adequacy of real estate loans based on sustainable cash-flow models, credit metrics
Interact with customers in accordance with all applicable laws and internal regulations.
Manage and monitor Real Estate Credit portfolio independently including; preparing annual loan reviews, preparing risk ratings (ICRE), maintaining loan databases and systems, monitoring covenant and reporting compliance.
Identify and resolve defaults under loan documents.
Responsible for preparing, management and monitoring of pledged loans under the Borrower-In-Custody of collateral program. Responsible for updating desk procedures.
Responsible for preparing the Shared Credit Review loans eligible under the program and management and monitoring of the annual reporting.
Analyze key data for each property, including the operating and financial statements, as well as the financing structure of the transaction.
Analysis of borrower personal and property level financial statements, rent rolls, tenant financials, cashflow
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or Banking
Required Skills
Thorough knowledge and experience in operating and financial statement analysis and in managing the credit risk of a commercial Real Estate
Knowledge of US / Canada real estate lending functions, financial data analysis, real estate fundamentals and issues.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Real Estate Finance transactions
Thorough computer applications skills (MS-Office, ARGUS, particularly Excel)
