Garda is seeking a
Product Specialist (Client Portfolio Management)
to join its Investor Relations team in the New York City office. This role will support the Director of Client Portfolio Management in delivering high-quality client service and portfolio-related communications, while assuming increasing responsibility over time. The Client Portfolio Manager will help manage investor activity and execute core client portfolio management responsibilities in close partnership with the broader investor relations team.
Responsibilities
Support our Director of Client Portfolio Management in the day-to-day management of existing and prospective investor relationships
Serve as a secondary point of contact for investors, responding to portfolio and account-related inquiries under the guidance of senior team members
Participate in investor meetings and calls (current and prospective), to act as a representative of the investment team in order to articulate fund-related activity and performance
Act as an additional liaison internally between the IR team and the investment and risk teams
Support the creation of market intelligence and analysis
Provide support in meeting investors' needs for regular reporting, due diligence materials, and ad hoc information requests
Assist in the development, maintenance, and updating of marketing and portfolio-related materials, including presentations and portfolio-related collateral and data requests
Contribute to special projects and broader Client Portfolio Management initiatives as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field
5–7 years of experience in investment management, fixed income markets, product specialist roles, hedge fund allocation/LP investing, client portfolio management, or a related field
Strong understanding of fixed income instruments, interest rate markets, and macroeconomic drivers, with demonstrated exposure to alternative investment strategies
Demonstrated ability to engage with clients while maintaining a strong technical and investment-oriented mindset
Experience translating complex investment concepts and portfolio positioning into clear, client-relevant insights
Familiarity with portfolio analytics, performance attribution, and investment reporting
Experience working with CRM systems and client management tools in support of a client-facing investment role
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Highly collaborative, proactive, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate credibly with both investment professionals and clients
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Compensation and Benefits This role is also eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, healthcare plan, 401(k) matching program, etc. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education.
Base Salary for this role is expected to be between:
$170,000—$200,000 USD
