Provide administrative support to departmental physicians/supervisor/manager/administrators, including receiving and disseminating telephone/fax messages in a timely and appropriate manner using clinic branding and your name. Provide consistent support/coverage as needed per departmental policy. Direct patients, families, and visitors to appropriate medical treatment areas in a sensitive and caring manner. Assist with distributing reports, records, and messages while maintaining patient and clinic confidentiality. Assist with maintaining internal/external supply inventory. Comply with Micro MD and BSO departmental billing functions; post patient charges and payments. Assist Manager by coordinating, reviewing, and preparing clinic charts for patient appointments as per departmental policy. Maintain the office in a neat and orderly fashion; assist in maintaining a safe environment. Assist Manager and District Manager in completing requests for medical records and related requests. Maintain charts in proper order, inserting forms and reports in the appropriate location; ensure all forms and dictations are completed. Copy materials, manage mail, initiate, prepare, and update forms, reports, and records on a routine basis. Respond to inquiries from corporate/physician/patient/family/attorney and manage ambiguous situations. Utilize QIP principles/techniques for organizational change and systems modification. Operate and maintain office equipment including fax, computers, and copiers. Assist with sorting and distribution of departmental mail/correspondences/faxes/phone messages promptly. Perform other duties and assignments as directed and/or necessary. Interview patients, collect information, and enter data into the computer. Ensure patients’ paperwork and Micro MD match; verify insurance and documents in the computer using account notes. Explain Excelsia Injury Care paperwork to patients and ensure understanding; witness patient signatures. Scanning and uploading paperwork to the EHR, if applicable; maintain an orderly office. Other duties as assigned. Who You Are
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 6 months+ of medical experience in an administrative physician office setting. Strong computer skills including data entry, Word, and Outlook. Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with tact. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic understanding of medical office procedures. Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, and co-workers. Ability to triage patients and take basic vitals (blood pressure, pulse, respiration). Physical/Mental Requirements
Sitting, standing, walking, reaching above shoulder length, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 20 lbs. Compensation:
