Citi's unparalleled global footprint spans 180 countries with a physical presence in 94 markets, providing clients with a unique global perspective. This expansive reach presents both unique opportunities and complex challenges in the responsible scaling of AI initiatives. Over 182,000 colleagues have now interacted with our AI tools over 21 million times, and we continue to see adoption rates above 70%. A broad range of specialized generative AI use cases across various business and functional domains are actively delivering quantified business value, and we continue to release more AI capabilities to serve our clients and colleagues. This unique position offers an unparalleled opportunity to influence AI practices on a truly global stage, driving responsible innovation at scale.

An ideal candidate would possess an exceptional blend of real-world experience in AI risk management within banking, significant technical depth in Generative AI, and the strategic vision to anticipate emerging risks and partner effectively with technology teams to implement world-class solutions.

  • AI Command Center & Operational Monitoring: Own the business design and operational oversight of the firmwide AI Command Center, driving automated governance and real-time monitoring of model performance, fairness, and compliance embedded into business processes and controls. Provide transparent risk visibility to Business Heads, Risk Officers, and Regulators.

In partnership with Government Affairs, shape the industry dialogue on AI safety and leverage insights from the Agentic AI Center of Excellence to influence public policy and establish Citi as a standard-setter for responsible autonomous agents.
  • 1LOD Risk Partnership & Culture: Foster a unified risk culture by partnering with Independent Risk (2LOD) and Internal Audit (3LOD) to identify and remediate control gaps. Drive the adoption of a "Responsible AI" mindset, ensuring robust human-in-the-loop protocols and ethical safeguards as fundamental business requirements.
