Job Description
This role will be centered around treasury and working capital sales and relationship building within our Consumer, HealthCare, and Life Sciences industry vertical in Citi’s Commercial Bank. The duties include ownership of a portfolio of existing clients, originating and winning new opportunities, defending existing business, realizing revenue from wins, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring an entrepreneurial attitude to rapidly integrate into the role. Global Solution Sales is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to team strategy. The individual needs to have strong communication and diplomacy skills. This role includes partnering with Relationship Managers globally to prospect, deepen and further grow our Consumer, HealthCare, and Life Sciences portfolio; partnering with our product sales team and product partners to deliver strategic treasury solutions; and managing pipeline, reporting metrics, and developing incoming talent.
Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients and take global, regional, and local accountability for delivering Treasury and Cash Management solutions to their clients.
Actively call on clients in partnership with partners across the bank to deepen relationships.
Serve as the primary global point of contact and accountability for Treasury solutions within their portfolio.
Grow Treasury revenues globally, regionally, and locally by finding new opportunities while building a trusted advisor status with clients and Relationship Managers.
Drive innovation on the solutions provided to clients.
Share knowledge with other sales consultants and junior staff.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including Citi’s policies and guidelines.
Assess risk appropriately in business decisions, safeguarding Citi, its clients, assets, and reputation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 4-8 years corporate client sales or commercial banking experience.
Experienced salesperson with a track record of prospecting new clients and driving new revenue within a large and growing portfolio of corporations.
Background in financial sales, treasury product partnerships, or corporate treasury experience with an international focus is a plus.
Broad banking experience with deep knowledge of cash and liquidity products.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and influencing skills; proven ability to work in a collaborative cross-border team with multi-cultural stakeholders.
Ability to identify client needs, present cash management solutions, and originate working capital and commercial cards opportunities.
Client engagement through face-to-face and virtual meetings.
Strong time management, organizational and planning skills.
Strong presentations and negotiation skills with internal and external clients.
