Overview The Admissions Representative works in a dynamic team environment to facilitate student enrollment for Rasmussen University. The position is responsible for delivering attentive, timely and effective service to students throughout the admissions process. The Admissions Representative builds strong relationships with prospective students through outreach including calls, emails, click-to-chats, text messages, and in-person meetings. Through active listening, the Admissions Representative engages with the student to understand and identify educational needs. The role provides accurate and timely information on Rasmussen’s programs and services and guides the student through each enrollment step. The Admissions Representative is the primary contact for the prospective student, serving as liaison to Student Services, Financial Aid and Career Services. The role supports Rasmussen University’s mission, vision, and values and fosters diversity and respect.

Responsibilities

Responsible for an individual recruitment goal, contributing to the team goal; work with students from inquiry through census. Activities include outbound engagement, scheduling appointments, conducting informational interviews, assisting in student funding and financial aid planning, background checks, immunizations and documentation in the SIS per compliance, and following up with enrolled students as needed.

Maintain and explain accurate knowledge of programs and services including entrance requirements, accreditation, and tuition/fees.

Demonstrate knowledge of student account services, re-entry process, transfer credits and related processes to assist students through enrollment.

Build strong relationships with prospective and current students by listening and identifying needs.

Present Rasmussen University programs and services to prospective students and guide them through career choices, educational options, and enrollment procedures.

Adhere to institutional, governmental and accreditation policies, regulations and codes of conduct.

Represent the University professionally in interactions with students, staff and constituents.

Develop and monitor reports to enhance recruiting strategies, forecasting and operational efficiency.

Foster a positive team environment with accountability and dependable productivity and conduct.

Implement and support policy and procedural changes to support student and University success.

Share best practices and provide constructive input and feedback to peers.

Participate in community events to generate inquiries and promote brand awareness.

Demonstrate commitment to Rasmussen University’s mission, vision, and values and support diversity.

Reporting Relationships The Admissions Representative reports to the Director or Associate Director of Admissions, depending on location, and has no direct reports.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Minimum of one year of relevant experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in educational services, admissions counseling, customer service, or recruitment.

General knowledge of the higher education industry preferred.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proven customer service experience in a professional environment.

Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment.

Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, management, and peers.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Professional appearance and telephone manner.
