Position Overview The HRIS & Benefits Specialist / Analyst supports the day-to-day administration of HR systems, employee benefits, and time & attendance processes. This role partners closely with HR and Payroll leadership to ensure accurate system functionality, compliant benefits administration, and timely payroll inputs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, systems-focused, and enjoys working at the intersection of
HR operations, technology, and employee support .
Key Responsibilities
HRIS & Systems Support: Provide daily administration and support for HRIS, benefits, and time & attendance systems
Process employee and job-related system changes and troubleshoot system issues
Support system testing, updates, enhancements, and upgrades
Maintain data integrity through audits, validations, and exception reporting
Benefits Administration: Administer benefits enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and status changes
Respond to employee benefit inquiries and provide system navigation support
Manage benefits invoicing, reconciliations, and vendor file feeds; research and resolve discrepancies
Support annual open enrollment, dependent verification, and benefits audits
Coordinate benefits communications, including newsletters, intranet or benefits website content, and email campaigns
Assist with wellness initiatives and vendor-led benefit education events
Time & Attendance & Payroll Support: Support administration of time & attendance systems, including timecard edits, audits, and issue resolution
Serve as liaison between people leaders and Payroll for timekeeping approvals
Assist employees and managers with timecard and payroll-related questions
Support payroll with benefits-related deductions, corrections, and tracking for employees on leave (e.g., FMLA)
Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement: Run standard and ad hoc HRIS, benefits, and timekeeping reports
Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and resolving findings
Assist with compliance activities related to benefits, HRIS, payroll, ERISA, and SOX controls
Support process improvement initiatives and documentation (procedures, workflows, job aids)
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2-5 years of experience in HRIS, benefits administration, payroll support, or HR operations
Experience working with HRIS and time & attendance systems (ADP preferred)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred
Experience supporting payroll and timekeeping compliance
Benefits or HRIS certifications (CEBS, SHRM-CP, PHR)
Experience with vendor file feeds, benefits invoicing, and reconciliations
Intermediate to advanced Excel and reporting skills
