Overview
The Cybersecurity Automation Specialist independently builds and manages automated solutions, integrates security tools, and enhances operational security efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Design and build moderate‑complexity automation workflows for vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance reporting. Integrate SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and scanning tools to improve data flow and reduce manual workload. Conduct assessments to identify automation opportunities across security operations. Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure seamless automation pipelines. Develop troubleshooting guides, workflow diagrams, and process documentation. Participate in design and code reviews, offering improvements and best‑practice recommendations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages. Experience with industry‑standard security products (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners). Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible) or CI/CD pipelines. Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset. Able to balance speed and accuracy in security automation efforts. Compensation
