The US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team holds a unique position in respiratory disease, including asthma, COPD and IPF, with a range of differentiated potential medicines in development. The pipeline also covers inflammatory and autoimmune diseases in areas such as psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

Responsibilities

Develop superior product and disease-state knowledge and educate and engage healthcare professionals in dialogue about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.

Function independently with sales proficiency to drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations.

Successfully complete training requirements, including product examinations.

Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed care information for your assigned territory.

Partner with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a local strategy and business plan to generate increases in sales within your territory.

Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities through effective implementation of Strategic Targeting Plans using promotional resources and analytical tools to enhance effectiveness in the territory, based on local customer needs.

Provide special education to healthcare providers within AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines.

Collaborate with Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to coordinate selling efforts.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree

0 – 2+ years of demonstrated Sales, B2B, or Commercial experience

A driver’s license and safe driving record

Desirable Requirements

Knowledge of the medical, healthcare or pharmacy industry with skills in clinical aspects, preferably within Respiratory therapeutic areas

Prior sales experience

Strong organizational and communication skills

Demonstrated leadership

Judgment and decision-making capability

Results-oriented with time management skills

Ability to learn, analyze, understand and convey complex information

Compensation and Benefits The annual base pay (or hourly rate) ranges from $81,714 to $182,756. Eligible incentives include short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles, and commissions for sales roles. Benefits include qualified retirement programs, paid time off, and health, dental, and vision coverage as per applicable plans.
