The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing on-site construction activities for various projects, including roof system replacements, siding and trim installations, exterior painting, and wood replacement. The superintendent will ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within scope, and in accordance with company standards. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight

Manage day-to-day field operations and supervise all construction activities. Ensure projects are completed according to approved designs, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to ensure smooth workflow. Quality Control

Monitor work progress to ensure high-quality standards and compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies. Perform regular inspections and document any deviations or deficiencies. Enforce quality control standards for all phases of construction. Scheduling & Planning

Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met. Anticipate potential delays and adjust schedules as necessary. Coordinate material deliveries and on-site labor to keep projects on track. Site Safety Management

Implement and maintain site-specific safety plans. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure all workers adhere to safety protocols. Communication

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and inspectors at the project site. Provide regular updates to Project Manager regarding job progress, issues, and or changes. Prepare daily/weekly progress reports to track the project’s performance against the timeline and budget. Problem Solving

Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, including delays, technical challenges, and workforce concerns. Proactively address any concerns from clients, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Budget Management

Monitor project expenses and ensure they remain within the agreed-upon budget. Approve subcontractor and vendor invoices and track costs against the project budget. Collaborate with Project Manager to make any necessary adjustments to the budget or scope. Subcontractor Management

Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure they meet contract requirements and project timelines. Conduct regular meetings with subcontractors to ensure alignment with the project plan. Review and approve subcontractor work, addressing any deficiencies or non-compliance. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate daily logs, schedules, and project documentation. Record change orders, field reports, and inspection reports. Document any incidents or accidents and ensure proper reporting is done. Travel & Site Setup

Travel to various project locations across multiple states, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Set up and maintain temporary on-site offices as needed for project management and coordination. Qualifications: Experience

Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a construction superintendent, preferably with projects in roofing, siding, and exterior systems. Experience working on large projects with a typical value of $800K+ is preferred. High school diploma or GED required. A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is a plus. Certifications

OSHA 30 certification required. PMP (Project Management Professional) or LEED certification is an advantage. Skills

Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and specifications. Proficient in scheduling software (e.g., MS Project or similar), and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
