**Apply now to join FAU on its race to excellence.****For more information on everything FAU has to offer, please visit .****Note: Current FAU employees must apply as an internal applicant by logging into their existing Workday employee account.****Position Summary:**Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Student Financial Aid and Scholarship Program Administration. - Boca Raton, FL .Reports to the Executive Director, Student Financial Aid Finance, Compliance & Operations, or Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid & Student Success, and assists with the administration and coordination of the Financial Aid Services and staff.Summary of responsibilities:* Maintains extensive daily public contact with students, faculty, staff, and the general public.* Maintains contact with university personnel in all areas of academic and student services.* Assists with the interpretation and implementation of the university’s policies and procedures, and the interpretation of degree requirements and other academic concerns for our FAU students.* Oversees and manages all Foundation FAU scholarships and supporting staff.* Administers the National Merit, Benacquisto, and Raise.me.* Participates in FAFSA presentations and outreach.* Responsible for the management of all Foundation Scholarships managed by the Financial Aid Office, as well as the coordination of Foundation Scholarships administered by the University's colleges and departments.* Manage the posting of information on the Scholarship Universe website for all available scholarships.* Manage committees comprised of various FAU administrators to select eligible scholarship applicants.* Manage the analysis of the Endowment Report provided by the FAU Foundation to determine the availability of funds.* Serve as liaison between the office of Student Financial Aid, FAU Foundation, and FAU departments. Interacts daily with any and all offices engaged in admitting, awarding, and disbursing financial aid to students, including the Controller's Office, Admissions Office, and Registrar's Office.* Create financial aid and scholarship presentations, assist at orientation and outreach programs as assigned by the Associate Director.* Award financial aid to students in compliance with federal, state, Foundation Scholarship Donors, university, and FAU Foundation regulations and policies.* Monitor Foundation funds. Manage expected spending for Foundation accounts and monitor to ensure targets are met.* Conduct scholarship workshops for incoming and current students.* Serve as the Office of Student Financial Aid's liaison for the Kelly/Strul Emerging Scholars Program.* Provides financial aid counseling for a selected alpha population of students. This includes processing of awards, revision requests, satisfactory academic progress appeals, counselor reports, and professional judgments.* Assist students with emergency aid.* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.**FAU Benefits and Perks**If Benefits & Perks are important to you, then FAU is the place to be!
