Waggle is seeking a Technical Designer to translate our design vision into well-fitting, production-ready garments. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistency in fit, construction and quality from initial concept through bulk production. Working cross-functionally with Product Development, the Creative team and our manufacturing partners, the Technical Designer helps bring each style to life with clear technical execution and attention to detail. The Technical Designer is both highly detail-oriented and technically skilled. Some days you’ll be reviewing fit samples, measuring garments and providing detailed fit comments to factories. Other days you’ll be updating tech packs, reviewing construction details, confirming grading and specs or troubleshooting production issues to keep development moving forward smoothly. The role blends hands-on fit expertise, strong technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure every product meets Waggle’s standards. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading and fabrications, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and external partners. The Technical Designer will help drive product consistency, reduce fit and quality issues and support an efficient development-to-production process as Waggle continues to grow. This role will report to the Director of Merchandising Key Responsibilities

Technical Documents and Specifications Own, create and maintain all technical packages (Tech Packs), include all measurements, construction details, bill of materials and grading Develop and update spec sheets and size charts to align with brand fit standards Ensure accuracy and consistency of technical documentation from development through production Review patterns and specs for alignment with design intent and production feasibility Fit and Sample Ownership Lead and conduct fit sessions with merchandising team, providing clear feedback to pattern makers and suppliers Measure and evaluate samples, identify fit and construction issues, propose solutions and work with manufacturers to correct Review, approve or reject development and pre-production samples. Track and manage sample revisions and fit approvals through PLM system Cross-Functional and Supplier Collaboration Communicate directly with domestic and overseas suppliers and fit or construction corrections Identify and resolve fit or construction issues proactively Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, sales and marketing teams Fit Standards, Quality and Process Improvements Ensure garment meets all brand requirements and standards, to include quality requirements and cost targets Ensure garments meet quality, consistency and performance expectations. Contribute to process improvements, efficiency initiatives and best practices within Technical Design Merchandising & Brand Team Tasks Research and development, stay on top of all new and emerging trends Tracking, filing, hanging and sorting all development, marketing and pre-production samples Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications

3-5+ years of Technical Design experience in apparel Strong understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, grading and fit Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems experience Experience working with overseas factories and suppliers Ability to measure garments accurately and assess fit on live models or forms Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail Capability to manage multiple styles and deadlines simultaneously Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours a day Preferred Qualifications

Experience in men’s, women’s and youth size apparel Experience in golf or other lifestyle apparel Knowledge of fabric performance, trims and wash processes Knowledge of testing and compliance standards Experience with quality assurance and quality control Packaging and Collateral file creations Flexible hybrid work environment (3 days in office required) Simple IRA and/or Roth with company match Health, dental, vision, and FSA benefits Employer-sponsored life and AD&D insurance Paid Time Off Apparel and gifting allowance Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience
