SHIFT #1: Saturday 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM SHIFT #1: Sunday 7:00 AM to 8:30 PM SHIFT #1: Monday 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM SHIFT #2: Tuesday to Thursday 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM SHIFT #2: Friday 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM This contract begins with a 60-day probationary period and may be extended beyond six months based on strong performance. Transportation Technician
is an advanced technician position that will work indoors and on-site in a control room environment to monitor roadways via closed circuit cameras (CCTV) and to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic. They will be tasked with managing scheduled and unscheduled traffic incidents, and dispatching responders accordingly by utilizing Intelligent Transportation Systems devices. Responsibilities
Identify the more complex issues and defer those to a supervisor. Operate various computer-based traffic management systems to manage traffic and incidents on roadways and improve traffic conditions. Monitor roadways via traffic surveillance cameras and detection systems. Monitor all traffic devices and computer equipment associated with the system. Maintain advanced knowledge on the operation of all traffic equipment, computers and software associated with the traffic systems. Become familiar with the roadways and to understand the purpose and location of traffic devices. Communicate with multiple agencies to coordinate resources for incidents that may affect regional travel. Required Skills/Experience
MUST BE ABLE TO INTERVIEW ONSITE Experience in Customer Service, Dispatch or Call Center Experience contributing within a team environment Basic computer knowledge Operational knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook Other Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check Calance Benefits Offerings
