Overview
Summary
The Customer Service Representative supports the Westland sales and business development team by managing day-to-day customer service activities, including order processing, quote support, and customer communication. This role serves as a primary point of contact for transactional customer needs and plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and coordination between customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities Serve as the primary contact for routine customer inquiries related to orders, quotes, and delivery status
Process customer purchase orders, review against approved quotes, resolve discrepancies, and enter orders into the ERP system
Support the RFQ and quoting process by coordinating internal inputs and maintaining accurate records in CRM systems
Communicate order acknowledgements, production status updates, and delivery changes to customers
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, and logistics to support on-time order fulfillment
Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and documentation
Assist sales and account management with administrative and coordination tasks as needed
Support continuous improvement of customer service processes and documentation
Skills And Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Customer-focused mindset with a calm, professional approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Experience with manufacturing ERP systems required
CRM experience preferred
Ability to work collaboratively across functions
Education and Experience Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
2–5 years of experience in a customer service or sales support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting defense or aerospace customers is a plus
Physical Demands / Work Environment Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Frequently moving about to accomplish tasks
Constantly communicating with others to exchange information
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
Majority of work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions
