Titling Specialist
The Titling Specialist processes vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations to support new and used truck sales. This role works closely with the sales, finance, and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely title processing, lien recording, and customer satisfaction. Essential duties and responsibilities: Process vehicle invoices, titles for new and used vehicle sales Verify accuracy of vehicle information, including VINs, odometer readings, and lienholder details Prepare title documents for lien recording, releases, and transfers Maintain organized and up-to-date title records and files Ensure compliance with all state DMV regulations and dealership policies Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested Coordinate with accounting regarding title fees, taxes, and reconciliations Cross train with team members to ensure continuity of work Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications/education: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous title clerk or automotive dealership experience preferred Knowledge of state DMV title and registration processes preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Proficient in dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to absorb and retain new information quickly Ability to work independently and as part of a team Customer serviceoriented mindset Work environment & schedule: Office-based role within a dealership setting Full-time position; hours may vary based on dealership needs Compensation & benefits: Competitive pay based on experience Full array of benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and more We are an at-will, equal opportunity employer.
