What You'll Do: Coordinate inbound and outbound Truckload, Intermodal, and LTL shipments following the routing guide process Assist carriers in scheduling appointments for pickup and delivery Track & trace shipments daily to ensure timely pickups & deliveries are being made Problem-solve unexpected issues during the shipping, in-transit, and delivery process Provide clear and consistent communication with Customer Service, Warehousing, Sales, and other groups throughout the shipping process Coordinate EDI and general load tendering to carriers via TMS system Facilitate with spot load coverage and load cost negotiation Prepare Payables Maintain accurate freight purchase order payment records Review freight invoices for billing discrepancies Monitor billing statements Administrative Support Input data into Supply Chain computer systems Prepare Microsoft Excel reporting Cross-train as back up for other roles within the Supply Chain Department Requirements for Success: Education & Experience High School Diploma 1 year experience working with the public (customer service, transportation, or warehousing) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Computer skills, MS Office, Excel and Word Excellent communication skills Able to function in a fast pace team environment Good analytical skills Ability to work independently once given direction Physical Requirements & Working Conditions The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time whether that be sitting or standing The employee must be able to use fingers to constantly operate a computer or other type of office equipment The employee in this position must be able to regularly walk The employees must be able to use hands to handle and feel The employee must be able to regularly reach with both hands and arms The employee must be able to visually detect, perceive, or recognize in near and far distances The employee must be able to converse or convey with other individuals The employee may occasionally be required to crouch The employee may occasionally lift/carry items as heavy as 25 pounds Supervisory Responsibilities Direct: None Indirect: None Benefits Include: Medical premiums as low as $20.89/week Paid parental leave time off work Employer-paid disability benefits 401(k) matching up to 7% Free counselling through the Employee Assistance Program Employer-paid life insurance And so much more!
