Job Description Summary: As the manager of IT Asset and Renewals Management with Rocket Software, you are part of a global, fast-paced IT organisation whose primary mission is to provide world-class service to Rocketeers. Leading our IT Asset and Renewals Management function, you will maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and documentation. Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain effective IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice (CMP) strategies, including policies and processes aligned with industry best practices.

Develop and communicate the ITAM and CMP roadmap and deliver desired outcomes. Monitor the performance of all ITAM and CMP processes and own the ITAM and CMP Continuous Service Improvement Plan.

Deployment and ongoing management of Rocket’s Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring data accuracy. Provide governance on creating and maintaining Configuration Items (CIs) and relationships within the CMDB.

Ensure the maintenance of an accurate, up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and maintenance contracts within the CMDB.

Manage Rocket’s assets, e.g., software licenses, vendor contracts, and hardware through the asset lifecycle, including, but not limited to, acquisition, deployment, usage, retirement and disposal.

Ensure Rocket’s compliance with license agreements, relevant legislation, industry regulations and organisational policies related to assets.

Conduct timely compliance audits and publish appropriate management reporting on findings. Where Rocket is non-compliant or at risk of non-compliance, make recommendations for improvement and take corrective actions to return Rocket to compliance.

Provide accurate and timely management reporting on the health of the ITAM and CMP processes, including asset usage details. Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), program Critical Success Factors (CSFs) and metrics for ITAM and CMP.

Provide leadership, coaching and support to all EUX Team members, including but not limited to recruitment, objective setting and review, performance reviews, career development and mentoring, resource scheduling and general administrative support.

Required Qualifications

Three (3) to Five (5) years of leadership experience in an IT Asset and Renewals role with a demonstrated pattern of increasing responsibility.

Experience managing a culturally and geographically diverse team in a rapidly changing environment. Demonstrated experience mentoring and managing junior team members through early career stages, with the expectation of high levels of team member retention.

Experience implementing, supporting, and improving ITIL best practices, including IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Configuration Management Practice, Change Management and Problem Management.

Extensive knowledge of ITAM and Service Management tools, including Jira, Jira Insight, Confluence, ServiceNow, Oracle and Microsoft Office.

Strong, demonstrable understanding of software licensing, including Microsoft and Oracle.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and think out of the box while paying attention to detail.

Outstanding interpersonal skills, including communication, presentation, and emotional intelligence.

ITSM Certification – ITIL Foundation

Preferred Qualifications

A solid understanding of the following technologies:

Hardware (Laptops)

End-Point Management (Active Directory, SCCM)

Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint)

ITIL Specialist: IT Asset Management (ITAM)

ITAM Certifications

Certification in leadership/management

Six Sigma Green Belt
