What You'll Do Game Designer
role draws on your competitive Magic knowledge, your curiosity and proclivity for learning, and a deep understanding of game design theory and philosophy. Our team of outstanding Designers collaborates to design and refine cards serving a broad variety of audiences and evaluate and improve the environmental impacts of those cards. This role involves exploration and learning, solving complex problems, and collaboratively improving our sets. You’ll work with the team to shape environments by tweaking designs, removing them, or developing something entirely new. You don’t need to be an experienced designer yet; we’ll help you refine your natural instincts and skills as a player into an outstanding designer. This is an on-site role at our office in Renton, WA. You will be required to be at the office from Monday to Friday.
What You’ll Do
Keep up to date on card files, build decks, and test interactions between cards.
Provide feedback to Design leadership on playtests, card designs, interactions, and impressions.
Solve specific design problems at the card, deck, and environmental level.
Participate in team meetings and discussions by adding constructive, reasoned, and provocative insights to the conversation.

Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $86,700.00 to $143,600.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
