Founded in 2001 as an independent research boutique, Expand is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boston Consulting Group, headquartered in London and with offices in Frankfurt, India, Singapore, Toronto, and New York. At Expand we’re proud of our friendly, inclusive and authentic team. It takes diversity of thought, culture, background and perspective to drive a global growing business, understand our clients’ needs and maintain our professional, supportive and entrepreneurial working culture that we all enjoy. BCG Expand is seeking a Lead Analyst to help support and drive a large, growing book of work aligned to our Commercial Banking practice. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to model updates, revenue growth and innovation within the commercial banking domain and ensure successful completion of projects with experience and flexibility. The successful candidate will drive the execution and enhancement of proprietary assets—including market sizing models, benchmarking tools, diagnostic frameworks, and simulation models—while also contributing to the development of new offerings and methodologies. A core part of the role involves engaging with clients to support senior management in making strategic, data-driven decisions. The Lead Analyst will work with global and local teams to deliver insights for BCG case teams and direct-to-client (D2C) projects, leveraging proprietary assets and diverse data sources. This includes understanding client needs, designing tailored solutions, and driving impact through rigorous analysis. We are looking for a proactive, curious, and detail-oriented individual—an articulate, systematic problem solver—who will play a key role in the Commercial Banking Practice Area. Key responsibilities will include: Leading the end-to-end delivery of data analysis programs by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing large qualitative and quantitative datasets to update proprietary models and tools Interpreting market and industry trends to identify patterns, extract insights, and uncover emerging opportunities for clients Leading client and internal meetings effectively; addressing client questions/queries using the data and content expertise Understanding client needs and delivering tailored, insight-driven solutions through proprietary tools, rigorous analysis, and customized reports or presentations Ensuring that clients are satisfied, and project timelines are met Driving new ideas, with limited guidance and working independently While oversight is provided by senior team members, BCG Expand’s culture puts emphasis on personal ownership at every stage of an employee’s career. Furthermore, Lead Analysts play a central role in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle, from supporting sales through to initial data collection, analysis, visualisation and communication of the findings, allowing for a great deal of diversity on the job and the development of a broad skills set. You will have a high level of direct client exposure, which in many cases reaches C-level executives. We are looking for a proactive, curious and diligent individual: an analytical and articulate problem solver who will spearhead the analysis delivery process. The role involves learning and increasing business knowledge quickly, with the resulting opportunity to progress internally. Job requirements
