I'm helping the CFO at one of my clients with hiring a
Tax Manager on a hybrid basis
(3 days on site, 2 days remote), reporting to the Director of Finance (who reports to the CFO). The client is based in western Suffolk County, Long Island, is
pre-IPO , mid-sized, and growing fast organically and via acquisitions. Base salary up to ~$200k, plus bonus, plus the potential for post-IPO equity. This is a
newly created position
as a result of company growth and the IPO. Significant opportunities to move up over time is expected. Qualifications
CPA OR a Masters in Tax 5-10 years of relevant 'hands on' experience, including strong corporate tax provision exp A mix of experience from public accounting AND private industry (corporate) is preferred, but those with all private industry experience WILL be considered. Main Responsibilities
Domestic (federal and state) and international corporate tax compliance Lead Tax Strategy & Planning, including initiatives related to company acquisitions, etc. Preparation of tax provision Preparation of estimated quarterly payments Manage and review sales tax compliance (prepared by external firm) Research tax matters This client is NOT open to sponsorship, and candidates must live on Long Island or in Queens.
