Responsibilities

Perform various collection activities including calls, correspondence, and negotiating payment plans

Provide customer service related to collections issues and ensure accurate records of all communications

Analyze and present collections data and metrics to management

Research and resolve issues with escalated delinquent customers, including potential write-offs

Mentor team members and support supervisors during absences

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred

Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience

Demonstrated leadership experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent negotiation abilities

In-depth knowledge of billing procedures, collections techniques, and accounts receivable

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with mainframe systems such as Oracle or other operating systems

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment

Familiarity with state and federal Fair Debt Collections Laws and bankruptcy procedures
