Responsibilities

Perform a variety of collection activities including calls, correspondence, and negotiating payment plans

Provide customer service regarding collections issues and process customer refunds and account adjustments

Gather collections data for reporting and prepare metrics for management

Research and resolve issues with escalated delinquent customers

Support supervisor during absences and assist in training team members

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

Typically requires 5+ years of directly related experience

Demonstrated leadership experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation abilities

Strong knowledge of billing procedures, collections techniques, and accounts receivable

Preferred Qualifications

Some college education preferred

Knowledge of state and federal Fair Debt Collections Laws and US Bankruptcy Code

Experience with mainframe systems such as Oracle or similar operating systems

Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents for sound decision-making

Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative environment
