Inside Sales Representative Compensation: $31.00 – $32.75 per hour (DOE) Temp to Hire Opportunity Required Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm – Monday through Friday Absolute Requirements (Non-Negotiable)
Experience:
Minimum of
3–4 years
of relevant experience required Aerospace Fastener Accuracy:
Proven accuracy handling aerospace/aviation fasteners and components, including bolts, nuts, screws, washers, pins, and specialty hardware. Demonstrate precise handling of: Part numbers Sizes and dimensions Materials and finishes Revisions Quantities Lot and certification traceability Errors impacting airworthiness, compliance, or customer requirements are unacceptable. Fastener & Aviation Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of aerospace and aviation compliance requirements, including: Certificates of Conformance (COC) Material Test Reports (MTR), where applicable Lot traceability and shelf-life control Customer flow-down requirements and quality clauses Compliance always takes precedence over speed; ambiguous requirements must be escalated. End-to-End Customer Order Ownership: Ability to manage customer transactions from RFQ through order fulfillment, including: Pricing accuracy Lead times Approved substitutions Backorders Proactive and professional communication Aerospace customers demand precision, accountability, and reliability. Reliability, Attendance & Responsiveness: Demonstrated history of dependable attendance, punctuality, and real-time responsiveness during scheduled work hours. This role supports operationally critical aerospace programs requiring consistent availability. Risk Awareness & Judgment: Ability to recognize and escalate risks related to incorrect fastener selection, certification gaps, material or finish mismatches, inventory availability, lead times, and urgent customer requirements. Requires sound judgment developed through 3–4+ years of aerospace or aviation sales or operations experience. Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively developing assigned and prospective customer accounts within the aerospace fastener and components market.
This role partners closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to manage shared accounts, ensuring exceptional service while identifying opportunities for expanded product adoption, long-term agreements, and strategic growth. Essential Responsibilities
Sales Development
Proactively prospect and develop new and existing accounts to grow market share Prepare competitive RFQs and sales quotations aligned with pricing and margin strategies Identify and promote alternative and complementary OEM fasteners to increase customer spend Support contract negotiations and long-term agreements in partnership with contracts and management teams Respond promptly and accurately to customer RFQs Account Partnership with Customer Service
Partner with assigned CSRs responsible for order entry, customer inquiries, and customer portals Leverage CSR account knowledge to identify opportunities and accelerate issue resolution Coordinate on invoicing and payment matters to remove financial obstacles to sales growth Customer Engagement
Serve as the primary sales contact for pricing strategy, contracts, and growth initiatives Conduct account reviews to assess purchasing trends and recommend expanded product usage Collaborate with customers to resolve service or quality issues with a focus on long-term retention and expansion Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with finance, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve customer-impacting issues Communicate customer-specific requirements and flow-downs during contract and renewal reviews Escalate delivery risks and supply constraints; assist in sourcing alternative inventory when required Performance Monitoring
Track and report account performance against sales quotas Maintain accurate CRM data and sales pipeline forecasts Ensure new contracts and agreements are properly documented and uploaded into the ERP system Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required College degree strongly preferred 2+ years of aerospace or distribution sales experience required Knowledge & Competencies
Aerospace hardware market, OEMs, and supplier networks Sales development methodologies, account planning, and quota achievement Ability to balance service responsiveness with sales growth objectives Strong prioritization and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to analyze sales performance versus quotas Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals Strong collaborator and customer-focused professional Skills
Advanced verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence decisions Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously Intermediate to advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities Effective sales presentation and negotiation skills Ability to multitask without compromising accuracy or compliance Preferred Qualifications
