Commercial Lines Inside Sales & Marketing Coordinator
plays a critical role in driving profitable new business growth for Deland, Gibson. This role is designed as a
developmental position , beginning with a primary focus on commercial lines marketing, quoting, binding, and issuing new business, and evolving into a full
inside sales role
over time. Initially, this position supports producers and the sales organization by efficiently handling select-market and small commercial opportunities—ensuring speed to quote, accuracy in placement, and a high-quality client experience. As the role matures, it will take on greater responsibility for
owning inbound leads, producer handoffs, and inside sales opportunities , operating within DG’s Ideal Client Profile and GRIP-based sales process. This role is essential to protecting producer capacity, maintaining carrier relationships, and supporting DG’s scalable growth strategy. Responsibilities
Phase One: Commercial Marketing & New Business Execution
Market, quote, present, bind, and issue new Select Market commercial insurance accounts Work closely with producers, account managers, and carrier partners throughout the new business lifecycle Gather underwriting information, submit applications, and manage carrier follow-ups Ensure accuracy and completeness of policy documentation and issuance Support remarketing efforts when needed Accurately enter and maintain data in Applied Epic and related systems Identify, qualify, and engage new business opportunities through inbound leads, producer handoffs, and outbound outreach Conduct discovery conversations aligned with DG’s GRIP sales framework Educate and advise prospects on coverage options and risk considerations (within defined authority) Present proposals and close business within assigned parameters Transition bound accounts smoothly into the service team with proper onboarding and documentation Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders Uphold DG’s value proposition, service standards, and consultative approach Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field preferred 2+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience Active Massachusetts P&C License required Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages and underwriting basics Sales aptitude with a consultative mindset Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Applied Epic preferred Core Competencies
