
A leading Newark law firm seeks an experienced and detail-oriented
Trust & Estates Paralegal
to support attorneys in its Tax, Trusts & Estates practice. This role requires strong paralegal and accounting skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently with clients and third parties. Hybrid 2 days remote Must have 2 years or more of Trust & Estate Paralegal Experience. Must have financial knowledge Manage estate and trust fiduciary accounts and checkbooks Prepare checks for expenses, distributions, and disbursements Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely payment of invoices Assist with internal accounting systems and process improvements Client & File Management Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and professionals Maintain organized and up-to-date client files Estate & Trust Administration Gather and analyze probate and non-probate asset information Prepare asset inventories and assist with estate accountings Track trust income, expenses, distributions, and beneficiaries Organize documentation for estate and inheritance tax filings (IRS Form 706, NY ET-706, NJ IT-R, etc.) Analysis & Projections Assist with estate tax projections and administration cost estimates in coordination with attorneys General Support Draft routine correspondence and assist with court filings Use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and iManage Qualifications 2+ years of Trust & Estates bookkeeping experience in a law or accounting firm Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or Paralegal Certificate
