Overview
TESS US is seeking a field-based Sales Engineer to accelerate new business development within the oil and gas sector, engaging directly with offshore drilling contractors, OEMs, EPCs, refineries, and petrochemical facilities across the Gulf of America and Latin America. This role is highly hunter-oriented and demands strong technical acumen, regular on-site plant interaction, and the capability to convert maintenance and reliability challenges into high-value, revenue-generating solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, consultative, and skilled at building credibility with clients and operations teams while consistently identifying opportunities to expand our footprint. Key Responsibilities
Must possess strong hydraulic knowledge and refinery experience, with responsibility for generating and closing new business in hose management, hydraulics, and fluid conveyance solutions. Perform onsite hose audits, system walkdowns, and application reviews to identify safety, reliability, and compliance gaps. Sell TESS company services to clients and develop technical and commercial proposals. Engage maintenance, reliability, engineering, and procurement stakeholders through regular field presence. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through order closure. Coordinate with internal service teams to ensure accurate scope, site compliance, and executable solutions. Qualifications & Profile
Engineering degree or equivalent industrial experience in oil & gas and petrochemical environments. 5-10+ years of sales or business development experience in the oil and gas and petrochemical sectors. Proven sales engineering or business development experience in Oil and Gas, refineries, or chemical plants. Strong technical knowledge of industrial hoses, fittings, and hydraulic systems. Demonstrated hunter mentality with a record of winning new business.
