Overview
HOJ is seeking a warm, energetic Brand Ambassador / Greeter to be the first point of contact at our Expo West booth. This role is responsible for welcoming attendees, driving booth traffic, and creating a strong first impression of the brand. You will play a key role in engaging visitors, offering samples, and quickly identifying buyers, distributors, media, and other high-value leads to pass along to the Booth Lead. Key Responsibilities
Traffic & First Impression
Greet attendees with friendly, welcoming energy Invite passersby into the booth in a natural, non-pushy way Maintain an outward-facing presence to attract traffic Sampling & Product Intro
Offer samples and deliver a quick 10–15 second product intro Highlight key products (siu mai, BBQ pork bao, wontons, potstickers) Encourage attendees to taste and engage Lead Qualification
Pass qualified leads directly to the Booth Lead or founder Booth Support
Keep sampling area tidy and stocked (napkins, plates, trash) Support sampling specialist and booth lead as needed Maintain positive, professional energy throughout the day Qualifications
Prior experience as a brand ambassador, greeter, or event staff Comfortable engaging with large volumes of people Friendly, upbeat, and professional demeanor Able to take direction and work as part of a team Expo, trade show, or food sampling experience preferred Able to stand for long periods Compensation
Hourly: $22–$30 per hour, depending on experience Day Rate (if applicable): $200–$300 per day
