Entry-Level Security/Access Control Customer Specialist
We are looking for a
reliable, customer-oriented professional
who enjoys working with people and wants to build a long-term career in the
low-voltage / access control
industry. This role is ideal for someone coming from a
customer service, hospitality, retail, sales, or service-based background
who is ready to learn technical skills on the job.
You’ll work closely with experienced senior technicians, support customers in professional environments, and receive hands-on training in access control and security systems. No prior technical experience is required —
we’ll teach you the technical side
if you bring the right attitude, work ethic, and people skills.
What You’ll Be Doing
Serve as a
professional, customer-facing representative
at client sites such as offices, banks, hospitals, schools, and other commercial facilities
Ride along with a senior technician (typically
4+ months ) to learn installation, service, and troubleshooting of security systems
Interact directly with customers, building occupants, and site contacts in a courteous and professional manner
Assist with installing and supporting:
Access control systems (card readers, door hardware, locks, intercoms)
IP-based video surveillance systems
Low-voltage cabling and related equipment
Help prepare materials, tools, and work areas for daily jobs
Learn to read basic drawings and follow installation instructions
Support testing and basic troubleshooting under supervision
Maintain clean work areas, accurate reporting, and consistent attendance
Be flexible to work
overtime, weekends, and varied schedules
as required by customer needs
What We’re Looking For Required
1+ year of heavy customer-facing experience
(restaurant, hospitality, retail, customer service, sales, field service, etc.)
Strong communication skills and a professional attitude with customers
Willingness to learn technical skills and take direction from senior technicians
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Good tenure
and consistency in previous roles
Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed
U.S. Citizen
(required due to customer environments)
Ability to pass a
background check and drug screen
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Exposure to construction, electrical trades, or hands-on technical work
Interest in electronics, technology, or security systems
OSHA 10/30 (can be obtained after hire)
Training & Growth
Hands-on training alongside experienced technicians
Gradual exposure to:
Access control hardware and devices
Basic networking fundamentals related to security systems
Opportunity to grow into a
fully independent technician role
Company vehicle provided after successful completion of ride-along/training period
