Overview
The Director of Catering at Hilton Mystic will lead and oversee all catering operations to ensure exceptional event experiences for our guests. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage a dynamic team, coordinate with multiple departments, and deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about selling and creating memorable events while maintaining operational efficiency and profitability. Responsibilities
Develop and implement catering strategies to meet both individual sales goals and business goals while exceeding client expectations. Manage all aspects of catering sales, planning, and execution for events ranging from small meetings to large-scale celebrations. Collaborate with the sales, culinary, and operations teams to create customized catering packages. Lead and motivate the service team, assisting in training and support to ensure high service standards. Oversee budgeting, pricing, and financial performance of the catering department. Maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to foster repeat business and partnerships. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and Hilton brand standards. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in catering management, preferably within a hotel or resort environment. Proven track record of driving sales and successful event execution. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in catering and event management software is a plus.
