FULL TIME The Assistant Director serves as a key leader within Enrollment Management, translating strategic marketing vision into actionable, results-driven execution. This role manages the planning, coordination, and delivery of all marketing campaigns and communication initiatives designed to drive student engagement and enrollment growth. Working in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Marketing and Strategic Initiatives, this position ensures all campaigns are aligned with institutional priorities, brand standards, and performance goals. The Assistant Director provides oversight for day-to-day marketing operations, supervises project timelines, and partners cross-functionally to optimize outcomes across multiple channels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full marketing lifecycle—from planning and content development through execution, analysis, and optimization—across all enrollment audiences (undergraduate, graduate, international, online, etc.).
Implement marketing initiatives and campaigns in alignment with university goals and overall strategic plan.
Coordinate workflow and deliverables with internal teams, student workers, and external vendors/agencies.
Ensure campaign deliverables (email, web, paid media, print, and social) are on-brand, timely, and performance-oriented.
Partner with the Communications and Marketing teams to manage content calendars, launch schedules, and production pipelines.
Performance Tracking & Optimization
Establish and maintain reporting dashboards to track campaign metrics, engagement trends, and ROI.
Analyze campaign data to make recommendations that drive conversion and yield outcomes.
Partner with Director team and Vice President to forecast needs and assess campaign impact.
Maintain organized documentation of campaigns, creative assets, and analytics for cross-departmental reporting.
Operational Leadership & Team Development
Supervise Brand Ambassadors, fostering a high-performing and creative team culture.
Support the Enrollment Marketing team in managing day-to-day priorities and deliverable flow.
Identify process improvements to streamline communication, approvals, and project management within Enrollment Marketing.
Assist in onboarding new team members and provide cross-training opportunities for professional growth.
Identify emerging trends and tools in digital marketing and higher education to enhance campaign innovation and performance.
Contribute to the development of new engagement strategies that strengthen prospective student touchpoints and improve the overall enrollment experience.
Support the Director team and Vice President with strategic planning, special initiatives, and cross-functional projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:
Prefer a Bachelor e20b s degree in a related field or equivalent experience in a related field. An ORU graduate is preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Two years of related work experience in a similar work setting is preferred.
Must be computer literate to include a strong familiarity with a Windows environment. Familiarity with Banner and Microsoft Excel is a plus, but the department is willing to train.
Must have good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Must have an eye for detail due to the need for accurate publication of information in printed material and for record keeping/recording of information that is personal, monetary, and time-sensitive related. Maintains confidential information.
Supervisory skills and/or experience will serve as a plus due to the large number of student workers involved in the visitation program.
Must be able to articulate thoughts well for the purpose of effectively communicating information one-on-one, in groups or in large public settings.
Excellent interpersonal skills are paramount for effective communication with people from diverse backgrounds.
Must accept and be openly supportive of the purposes and goals associated with Oral Roberts University.
Should be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment as the situation dictates.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate and organize student workers.
Must have the ability to effectively work with staff, administration, students and parents from varying cultural backgrounds.
Must have the ability to prioritize multi-tasks in the midst of a fast-paced, high-demand work environment while always maintaining a professional demeanor.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Travel: Occasional out-of-town travel, air and ground, and occasional use of personal vehicle will be required. The ability and willingness to travel and work occasional nights and weekends is required.
