We are currently seeking a full-time
Architectural Designer - Emerging Professional
to participate on various projects through all phases of design and construction. An employee in this role should be a creative, self-motivated design professional who is able to utilize current technologies to achieve design excellence.
This position reports to the Senior Architect, Team Lead.
Responsibilities
Collaborate as part of a team and work on a wide range of projects through all phases of design and construction
Assist in the production of accurate technical drawings, documents, and project specifications, including but not limited to, life safety plans, life cycle cost analysis (LCCA), sustainability initiatives, and other required project documentation
Use project checklists and HHA established standards during all project phases
Assist the project team in timely completion of all project deadlines
Complete design layouts and features by researching, compiling and recording information
Compile and analyze all relevant project data to prepare project presentations, drawings and specifications
Participate in building assessments and field verification activities
Attend project meetings and site visits; write meeting minutes and reports detailing observations
Review completed plans, reports, estimates and calculations prior to review by project leadership
Assist is the creation of project renderings and graphic representations
Work closely with project leadership and team to achieve a high level of project success
Apply a rigorous concept-based design process to justify decision making
Anticipated billable performance: 90%
Skills
Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization and graphic software; REVIT strongly preferred
Knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and Bluebeam Revu, BIM360
Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, specifications and building codes
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master of Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Architecture, or related undergraduate degree
This is an entry level position, 0-2 years of experience
Previous relevant internship experience and/or employment preferred
