Overview

The Communications Coordinator is a contributor to the team responsible for promoting and protecting Angel’s reputation. This role will support all aspects of Angel’s corporate communications and theatrical publicity team, including managing department logistics and playing a key role in media relations support, including research, developing messaging, writing fact sheets, press releases, presentations, managing media contacts, and organizing media opportunities. (Focus is on creating/building/testing/learning/resolution rather than getting stuck and identifying or placing blame).

Essential Functions Manage all department scheduling and logistics. Book meetings, coordinate team calendars, and travel arrangements. Research media opportunities, build and maintain media lists, and write media fact sheets, pitches, and press releases. Manage Angel’s press website and approved theatrical and streaming creative assets. Coordinate with external communications agencies and liaise with Angel senior executives, Investor Relations, and Theatrical Marketing. Track department project deliverables and ensure all deadlines are consistently met on time. Attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language is required.

Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Google Workspace. Detail-oriented perspective and able to pick up on overlooked details. Exceptional organization and time management skills. Able to maintain the confidentiality of company information. Must be able to manage multiple assignments at once, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions. Resourceful and able to problem-solve and manage tasks. Willing to perform an array of tasks both in and out of the office. Able to integrate feedback on tasks and assignments positively and adapt as necessary. A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn quickly. Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy and integrity, share context, and insist on candor with positive intent. Positive attitude, understanding that Communications is a relationship-driven function.

Compensation $25 - $26.50 an hour

Work environment When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands Must be able to sit or stand at a desk for extended periods of time.

Travel required 10%

Required education and experience 1-2 years of public relations experience

Preferred education and experience Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field 1-2 years of communications internship or entry-level experience

Work authorization Must be authorized to work in the United States.
