
Job Overview
The Video Editor is responsible for transforming raw video footage into high-quality, engaging content that supports company marketing, social media, and educational initiatives. This role collaborates closely with the creative teams to produce videos that align with brand objectives and meet professional production standards. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Edit short- and long-form videos for
YouTube,
YouTube Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and in-course assets. Assemble footage, balance audio, color correct, and add captions per brand and platform standards. Apply pacing, transitions, and music choices that retain viewer attention and strengthen storytelling. Incorporate titles, lower thirds, and basic motion graphics using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. Follow NRE’s Creative Brand Guide for font, color, and animation use. Maintain consistency in visual tone, typography, and brand styling across all deliverables. Export final deliverables with correct aspect ratios, resolution, short-form captions, and loudness. Conduct internal QA for every asset before submission. Incorporate notes efficiently from the Sr. Creative Director, and stakeholders. Communicate blockers early through Monday.com and Frame.io. Partner with Social teams to ensure timely handoff and campaign alignment. Maintain versioned project files with proper naming conventions and Drive folder hierarchy. Upload exports to designated storage folders. Update task status and deliverables in Monday.com on time. Review analytics (watch time, retention, CTR) and apply findings to improve future edits. Stay current with editing trends, platform algorithms, and emerging styles. Contribute best practices and swipe examples during weekly creative syncs. Perform all other duties as assigned. Skills & Qualifications
3–7 recent years of professional experience in video editing. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including
Premiere Pro , After Effects, and Photoshop, with emphasis on motion graphics and text animation. A complete portfolio that can be shared with New Reach. (This will be instrumental in securing an interview.) Strong understanding of video composition, pacing, and visual storytelling. Ability to adapt to a wide range of incoming RAW footage (handheld, tripod, multi-camera interviews, etc.) to produce engaging content. High attention to detail and commitment to delivering professional, polished work. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience with project management tools such as Monday. Proficiency in Google Suite.
