Amazon Devices is seeking a
Senior Business Analyst
to join the
Device Global Logistics (DGL)
team. This role supports global logistics and supply chain strategy by developing business metrics, optimizing transportation strategies, and driving large-scale analytical initiatives. You will partner with cross-functional teams across operations, finance, business, and technology to deliver data-driven insights that support Amazon’s rapidly growing global devices business. This role requires strong analytical thinking, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into scalable business solutions. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analytics & Business Insights
Develop and manage key performance metrics to support senior leadership decision-making Perform data mining and large-scale data analysis to identify business opportunities and operational improvements Transform complex business problems into mathematical models and data-driven solutions Analyze forecast and performance data to support logistics and transportation strategy Reporting & Automation
Design and automate business intelligence reports for campaigns, promotions, and product launches Develop innovative reporting tools using SQL, ETL processes, Oracle, and advanced Excel techniques Establish scalable and automated workflows for data analysis, modeling, validation, and reporting Advanced Data Modeling & Statistical Analysis
Perform statistical modeling and analysis including: Clustering Regression analysis Cross-session and panel data modeling Utilize tools such as R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS to deliver analytical insights Develop predictive and optimization models to improve logistics performance Cross-Functional Collaboration & Program Execution
Identify key business metrics to improve visibility and performance measurement Present data insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders Partner with analytics, engineering, and operations teams to improve systems and processes Lead medium to large operational improvement initiatives Support daily execution of logistics and supply chain programs Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Experience defining business requirements and deriving insights using data and metrics Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience influencing stakeholders and providing business recommendations Strong SQL experience 3+ years of experience working with: SQL, ETL, or Oracle technologies Large, multi-dimensional datasets Automated reporting using advanced Excel, macros, or similar tools Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth operational environments Experience working as Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Engineer, Data Engineer, or similar analytical roles Compensation & Benefits
