We are seeking an experienced
Construction Superintendent
with strong SCA (School Construction Authority) and public works project experience to lead on‑site operations for major construction projects throughout Brooklyn. This role offers long-term stability and the opportunity to oversee meaningful, community-impacting work with a respected public-sector contractor.
Client Details Our client is a well-established public works general contractor specializing in NYC agency projects including SCA, municipal facilities, community buildings, infrastructure upgrades, and other government-funded construction. They are known for delivering high-quality, compliant, and safe projects across the boroughs and maintaining strong relationships with city agencies.
Description Lead and manage daily field operations for SCA and public-sector construction projects. Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, safety protocols, inspections, and workflow sequencing. Ensure compliance with all NYC regulations, SCA standards, and public agency requirements. Maintain detailed daily reports, logs, safety documentation, and quality control checks. Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to maintain project schedule and expectations. Work closely with Project Managers, inspectors, and agency representatives to ensure smooth execution.

Profile A successful Superintendent should have: Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on
SCA
and public works projects in NYC. Strong knowledge of NYC codes, DOB requirements, SCA specifications, and public-sector compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple trades while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. A proactive, hands-on field leader with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
