Consulting, Engineering/Maintenance About the role: As a Facilities Evaluation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting thorough property condition assessments (PCAs) and facility condition assessments (FCAs) for a diverse array of clients, including governmental bodies and corporate organizations. Your expertise will ensure that our clients receive reliable and comprehensive assessment reports, along with detailed analyses and cost estimations for necessary repairs. You'll be responsible for preparing Property Condition Reports in accordance with ASTM Standard E2018, providing crucial evaluations that empower owners, lenders, buyers, and investors to make informed choices regarding property conditions. This dynamic position involves frequent travel, up to 60% of the time, and offers the flexibility of remote work. 5-10 years' experience in evaluating or designing commercial buildings with a strong grasp of various building systems, including site work, structural elements, building envelopes, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.

5-10 years' experience specifically in authoring Facility Condition Assessment Reports.

What you'll do: Develop comprehensive Property Condition Reports and Facility Condition Reports detailing essential repairs and their associated costs.

Conduct thorough walk-through surveys to evaluate the conditions of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, structural foundations, and both interior and exterior elements.

Engage with property owners, occupants, and local officials to gather vital insights on property conditions.

Review key documentation, including maintenance reports and inspection findings, to accurately assess conditions.

Document property conditions meticulously with photographs and notes.

Estimate costs for required repairs across different timelines.

Specialize in specific areas such as Seismic, ADA, or MEP as needed.

Provide expert guidance and communicate effectively to meet client needs.

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

What you'll need: To succeed in this role, you should have: A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent education and experience.

5-7 years' experience in commercial building evaluation or design.

3-5 years' experience writing Property Condition Assessment or Facility Condition Assessment Reports.

Professional Engineer or Registered Architect certification preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Familiarity with various digital tools for document management, data collection, and virtual collaboration.

At Turner & Townsend, we value education, training, and experience in determining compensation. The minimum salary for this position is $100,000 annually, with a maximum of $120,000 based on qualifications. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company policies. Benefits include a 401(K) plan, health, dental, life, and vision insurance.
