
Overview
Responsible for managing personal sales activities and customer engagement to achieve business objectives. This includes planning and prioritizing tasks, maintaining and growing customer relationships, and supporting team members. The role involves managing product/service offerings, responding promptly to inquiries, and leveraging tools to track customer interactions. It also includes monitoring market trends, attending meetings and training, and adhering to company policies, including health and safety. Active participation in sales strategy and internal collaboration is essential to drive business development and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business goals, - especially managing personal time and productivity.
Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory/business according to an agreed market development strategy.
Actively support and help other team members when required.
Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed goals.
Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate proposition and ethical sales methods to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems.
Answer all inquiries (phone, email, text) from all customers (internal and external) within 24 hours (ideally sooner).
Respond to and follow up sales inquiries using appropriate methods.
Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
Communicate and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements as outlined in the Arista handbook
Actively participate in sales meetings
Qualifications
Specific Job Skills:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Understands the principles of marketing, including market sector targeting, product offer development, features-benefits-solutions selling, etc.
Computer skills:
Must be adept in use of MS Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word. Must also have a good working knowledge of the internet and email.
Literacy and Numeracy:
Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals.
Business and Selling Skills : Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
Pay Range: $65-75k plus commission
