DeGroot Logistics understands that being a top performer in the US transportation market requires putting people first. Located in our Lakeview office (Southport Corridor), our Cradle to Grave Sales Representatives are responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing shippers and carriers primarily in the Dry Van and Reefer space. We are a fast paced, highly collaborative, team oriented company. The Cradle to Grave Sales Role represents DeGroot Logistics professionally and favorably in all interactions internally and externally. Day to Day

Establish, onboard and grow a book of Over the Road, Cradle to Grave Freight business in the continental USA through sourcing, qualifying, and developing relationships with prospective Clients.

Manage a high volume of communication types such as phone calls, emails, messages, and networking.

Plan and execute local onsite visits with higher volume active shipping Clients.

Efficiently and effectively utilize Salesforce and other DeGroot softwares to attain client contact, perform account management, follow up and tracking shipments.

Develop an understanding and at times incorporate a “Cradle to Grave” Methodology.

Build successful professional relationships with internal colleagues and Leadership.

Pay day is weekly plus (Commission Check) once a month.

Desired Experience and Attributes

Sales experience is a plus, but not required.

Congenial personality with effective oral and digital communication skills.

Ability to make profitable business decisions and articulate ideas to peers and company leadership.

Must possess exceptional business instincts.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Motivated to reach and exceed sales quotas.

Embraces a faster paced and competitive environment.

Not afraid to make cold calls, creatively ask for business, and close it.

Must understand individual strengths and areas for growth and development.

A basic Understanding of Gross Margin percentages, Gross Profit dollars, and Revenue.
