This person will be focused on elevating the consumer experience by delivering the perfect fit across all product categories and fabrications within the Ruti collection. This role requires a high level of technical expertise related to bottoms and denim. This person is passionate about fit and is a dedicated team player that knows how to collaborate, receive feedback, and manage multiple projects at any given time. Qualifications
TO BE CONSIDERED, YOU MUST SUBMIT A CREATIVE DESIGN PORTFOLIO. PLEASE PROVIDE WEBSITE LINKS OR ATTACH A PDF FILE WHEN YOU APPLY. Bachelor’s degree in product design or related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or training with a focus on technical design and pattern making 7+ years or more of technical design and patternmaking experience at an in-house setting with deep expertise in woven bottoms and denim Knowledge and a desire to work on all product categories and fabrications Ability to adapt to change and handle multiple, competing priorities Strong visual and verbal communication skills, able to effectively present fit intent to internal and external audiences Drawing, sketching 2D and 3D capability or ability to learn Proficient in Illustrator and Google Suite Ability to travel both domestically and internationally if required Passion for the fashion industry and understanding of the landscape Demonstrates a strong aesthetic and high taste level with a deep understanding of the Ruti look Ability to understand and translate high fashion, on-trend fits and silhouettes from a technical perspective then translate them into viable solutions that drive profitable business results Responsibilities
Work closely with Ruti and the senior designer to develop measurement specifications and fits for all product categories in accordance with the Ruti brand aesthetic Work closely with the production manager and planner to ensure the fit of every product meets the needs of the business Work closely with vendors and the production team to ensure patterns, measurement specs, and final fit of each style is executed to the standards of the Ruti brand Develop measurement specifications and check patterns from vendors Communicate fit comments and provide vendors with pattern updates and recommendations for updates as needed to execute the fit of each style to the standards of the Ruti brand Review and strictly adhere to calendar deadlines Develop and update linesheets as needed
