Mechanical Designer
for one of our clients in
Charlotte, NC . Our client is an engineering and construction firm delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across energy, water, aviation, and infrastructure projects. Qualified candidates will create mechanical plans, drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, and other design deliverables, following design codes and project specifications. Responsibilities Prepare mechanical plans, drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, plot plans, sections, details, and other design deliverables, following project specifications and design codes Develop layouts, sizing, and calculations for mechanical systems, and execute design changes as needed Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other designers in multi-discipline project teams Review and ensure quality of design drawings and documentation within scope, budget, and schedule Analyze reports, drawings, and test data to support project planning and design decisions Maintain organized project files and ensure all revisions and documentation are accurate Communicate effectively with project teams and clients, both verbally and in writing Support multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and project requirements Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company and project standards Required Skills Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Plant3D, and Excel; familiarity with MicroStation and CadWorx is a plus Strong 2D/3D design skills, knowledge of mechanical systems, calculations, and design principles Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical skills, and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in multi-discipline teams 7–9 years of civil design experience Equity Staffing Group is one of the fastest growing Native American owned staffing companies in the United States.
