Your Opportunity

Customer Service Representative (CSR) at CheckSmart, Springfield, OH. You’ll help people in your community access the financial solutions they need—right when they need it the most. Compensation & Benefits

The hourly wage for the position ranges from $14.00-$17.25 per hour. The hourly rate is just one element of our Total Compensation package.

What You’ll Do — Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Connect with customers to cultivate lasting relationships and drive repeat business.

Review, validate, and process customer transactions with accuracy.

Offer personalized financial services to maximize customer success.

Enter and maintain customer information in a POS system with precision.

Build new business by completing daily call campaigns.

Assist in customer account management and collections by accepting payments and managing appointments.

Perform duties outside the office when applicable (e.g., on-site vehicle appraisals, store errands, external marketing); participate in in-store and community events.

Maintain store appearance and cleanliness to enhance customer experience.

Follow office security protocols and conduct opening/closing procedures, including vault and cash drawer management as needed.

Uphold compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Engage in ongoing training and stay current on product and process changes.

Work efficiently in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks to meet performance standards.

Perform additional tasks as directed by leadership.

Maintain a full-time schedule with regular in-person attendance, including weekends. A full-time schedule is at least 40 hours per week.

Store hours and minimum hours may change by brand at the Company’s discretion. Speak with your recruiter for up-to-date requirements.

What We’re Looking For — Qualifications And Skills

High school diploma or equivalent.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.

Meticulous attention to detail and accurate data entry.

Proficiency with phones, POS systems, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems.

Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Alabama).

Background check required in accordance with applicable law.

Ability to meet physical demands, including standing up to 90% of the time, moving up to 25 pounds, and operating mechanical controls (e.g., keyboard).

Nice to Haves — Preferred Qualifications And Skills

Experience in check cashing, document verification, and/or money order processing.

Cash handling and cash drawer/vault management experience.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for some locations.

Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a personal vehicle (mileage compensation).
