Location: Michigan, USA This role is dedicated to Japanese OEM accounts. Japanese OEM experience and fluent Japanese are essential. A global Tier 1 automotive materials specialist is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to lead and grow relationships with Japanese OEM customers across North America. This is a senior, autonomous role with full commercial ownership of key JOEM accounts. The Role: Full commercial ownership of assigned Japanese OEM accounts across North America Daily interaction with Japanese customer stakeholders in both English and Japanese Develop and deliver account growth strategies aligned to global customer plans Lead pricing, forecasting, program launches and long-term commercial planning Coordinate closely with technical, quality and operations teams to ensure delivery Manage programs from specification through SOP and ongoing production Act as the primary interface between North American operations and global JOEM teams Required Experience: Proven experience managing Japanese OEM customers within the automotive industry Demonstrable experience working directly with JOEMs such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan or similar Fluent business-level Japanese, used in a professional automotive environment Strong understanding of automotive materials, adhesives, coatings or engineered solutions Working knowledge of APQP, PPAP and automotive quality systems Commercially strong with experience growing revenue and account value If you have built and managed long-term relationships with Japanese OEMs and are looking for a high-impact, customer-facing leadership role, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
