Head of Sales @ YC-backed construction materials software startup
At Dill, we are revolutionizing payments, AR, and trade credit for the construction materials industry. The construction industry involves many stakeholders and complex payment workflows. Material suppliers, distributors, and wholesalers are often the last to get paid. We are enabling cash flow and growth for these stakeholders in the $1T construction industry. We are a YC-backed fast-growing company at 7-digit ARR looking for a Head of Sales to take Dill to the next level. You will be joining a second-time founder with a previous exit in construction tech and a sales team of 3 founding SDRs that are gritty, hungry, and coachable.
Responsibilities
Sales Management: refine and scale the sales motion that we’ve created up until now; lead our team representation at trade shows throughout the year.
AE: drive and close deals in our mid-market and enterprise segments; achieve a monthly quota and communicate feedback and learnings to drive product and growth iterations.
SDR Manager: coach and manage our 3 founding SDRs to consistent quota attainment and success. Our SDRs book the majority of their meetings over the phone; lead the development and experimentation of outbound campaigns and scripts.
Qualifications
You are a hungry, driven, self-described “honey badger.” This isn’t a role for the faint of heart. As the Head of Sales, you’re willing to grind on what will be an exhilarating yet rewarding journey.
You’ve managed a sales team to success and are skilled at coaching and incentivizing sales reps to perform at the highest level.
You’ve previously demonstrated excellence and “overachieved” in a B2B mid-market or enterprise AE role, preferably in construction or an old-school industry. You’ve continuously exceeded quotas in previous roles.
You’ve previously been a founding Head of Sales for a startup or have experience selling at an early stage startup.
You’re passionate about bringing innovation and efficiency into one of the most old-school industries that forms the backbone of our world today.
